  3. TouchBASE is a desk-accessory database for managing personal and business contacts. It is powerful, convenient, and easy to use. If after using the demo version you decide to purchase TouchBASE, you may contact one of the following vendors:

  17. Q.    What System is required to use TouchBASE?
  18. A.    You must use System 6.0.5 or greater.

  22. Q.    How do I obtain the pre-defined envelope, label, address book, report, and fax cover sheet templates? 
  23. A.    After installing the ToucBASE Demo desk accessory, copy the “TouchBASE 2.0 Prefs” file into your system folder if you are using System 6.0 or into your Preferences folder in the System folder if you are using System 7.0. This file contains pre-defined templates for envelopes, labels, reports, address books and fax cover sheets.

  27. Q.    How do I create a data file?
  28. A.    When you launch TouchBASE Demo from the Apple menu for the first time, you are asked to locate a data file or create a new one. Since you don’t have a data file, you should click on the New button and follow the steps to create a new data file.  You can also open the data file that we have provided by using the Open… command and locating it in the TouchBASE 2.0 Demo• folder. If you are already in a data file and desire to create a new one, you should use the Open... command in the TouchBASE menu and then click on the New button.

  32. Q.    How is this demo version limited?
  33. A.    It is limited to 10 records. However, you can open data files of more than ten records—you simply cannot save more than a 10th record. Other than this limitation, we made this demo version fully functional so that you can thoroughly “test drive” TouchBASE.
